Synopsis

The plot revolves around the life of a widow when her husband meets with an untimely death on an unfortunate evening. Her husband met with an accident when he was returning to home from his shop. Survived by two school going children, a boy and a girl, besides his wife, he was the sole income earner of his family running a small shop for a living. The wife is now left with two paths before her that would decide the future of the family. She was already struggling to feed her children in the next few days with the very little savings she had, let alone the pending school fees, when the society started offering her the option of employing her son at the shop and her daughter as a maid. Even her own family members put forward the idea of succumbing to her miseries and giving up the future of her children. They want to take her daughter away to the city promising to provide her with a good education. She knows well what lies ahead on that road. Every single day, new offers come knocking at her doorstep seeking her daughter as a domestic help. What would she do? She needs money to ensure their survival but there is also a future lying ahead. Her children are bright students capable of making something big if given the right path. The time is ticking. She already had spent all her savings. There is no other source of income. The shop is lying closed for days now. Making her son sit at the shop surely seems easy. Would she give up and choose the easier path? Or she would reject the societal norms and struggle as a single mother to raise her children and give them the future they deserve. Now his wife must make a tough decision to feed her family.
