Inspired by true events, Unborn is a story about Parnita, a young, Indian woman living in the suburbs of a town in America. She is married, has two small daughters, and is pregnant with her third child. Her husband and his parents share the belief that she must have a male child to carry on the family name and business. They do not want her to have another baby unless it is a boy, even if the pregnancy has to be aborted. Parnita must decide what is best for her and her body and convince her husband of her desire to have a healthy baby, regardless of gender.

Synopsis

Inspired by true events, Unborn is a story about Parnita, a young, Indian woman living in the suburbs of a town in America. She is married, has two small daughters, and is pregnant with her third child. Bound by their cultural issues, her husband and his parents share the belief that she must have a male child to carry on the family name and business. They do not want her to have another baby unless it is a boy, even if the pregnancy has to be aborted. She has had several abortions after finding out via ultrasound that the fetus was a female. Parnita must decide what to do to not only stop this traumatic cycle of endless abortions but to do what is best for this baby. Can she convince her husband of her desire to have a healthy baby, regardless of gender?
