Radha is a mute single mother from the slum who works as a nanny for the corporate lady Indu. As Radha babysits little Nitu in the villa, her baby girl is left with an old lady in the slum. While we see Indu’s and Radha’s feelings of insecurity about their baby girls shadowed throughout, Indu’s compassion and Radha’s sincerity drive the film, taking us through the bliss and pains of motherhood. Threaded through beads of melancholy, Radha’s mute lullaby that echoed in the slum gains a rhythm when her struggle for survival becomes an inevitable part of Indu’s needs and aspirations. Synopsis

Stringed through beads of melancholy, Radha’s mute lullaby that echoed in the slum, gained a rhythm when her struggle for survival became an inevitable part of Indu’s needs and aspirations. Clinging themselves at either ends, of poverty and luxury, arouse a resonance between their womanhood… motherhood.”This short film sheds light on an issue which is of social relevance in metro cities like Bangalore. The increasing number of slums along with the IT spread have created a unique culture of coexistence. Majority of the working families in the cities are dependent on the maids from slums around for their daily house chores. In turn, the slum dwellers are dependent on the upper class for their daily bread. An impasse of poverty and luxury is existent but yet does not change the inherent emotions of two women.Radha, single mother from the slum works as a maid in the corporate lady Indu’s Villa to earn a livelihood. She takes care of Indu’s little daughter Nitu in the Villa, while her own baby is left with an old lady in the slum. Radha’s and Indu’s feel of insecurity about their babies , Radha’s sincerity and Indu’s compassion drives the film. But where things around safe for them? The weaker always goes to the wall…Feel the bliss and pain of ‘THE RESONANCE’
