Aabesh is the story of Bidisha who quits her job and comes to Kolkata to settle down with her boyfriend Samir. Drowning in debt, Samir can’t take it anymore and dies by suicide. Bidisha witnesses his death and goes into shock and further down the depths of post – traumatic stress disorder. She starts hallucinating, and also sees Samir in her dreams. She is guided and consoled by Nila at this point in time, who she, later during therapy reveals, was her aunt. As a child Nila cared for Bidisha like a mother. However, later Bidisha witnessed her aunt Nila die by suicide. Will Bidisha be able to recover? Will Bidisha be able to avoid a similar fate?
